Group Styles Inventory
The Group Styles Inventory™ (GSI) develops consensus decision-making skills and promotes constructive team environments. The GSI is a diagnostic which enables teams to understand their thinking and behavioural styles so that they can identify practical strategies for enhancing effectiveness.
The GSI provides teams with a snapshot of their behaviours. Analysing these behaviours enables teams to identify practical strategies for increasing their effectiveness. The GSI can also be used to monitor and measure a team’s progress.
When used during change management programmes, the Group Styles Inventory enables teams to align their behaviours with their organisation’s cultural targets. It achieves this this by describing team culture using the Circumplex model.

The GSI can be administered immediately after a simulation, group meeting or work session. It requires participants to describe how they approached a task by responding to a set of questions. This provides feedback on the styles that have contributed to, or detracted from, overall team effectiveness. Results are plotted on the Circumplex.
